So quiet, you can enjoy and relax here.
Atuh beach is a hidden beach located in the east side of Nusa Penida island, among two cliffs exactly. Atuh beach has incredible view from the spot on top of the hill, the islands, blue sea and the green hills.

Scooter: IDR 5K.
Car: IDR 10K.

WHEN THE BEST TIME TO VISIT IT?
April – October.
*) July to September are the most ideal months to visit this beach since it is little rain and sometime no rain et all.
6.15 AM – 6.20 AM.
*) The color gradation start on 5.45 AM.

*) You need take a small boat (jukung) to go to Manta dive spot nearby the Atuh beach.

About 20 km southwest of Roro Nusa Penida ferry port or 50 minutes.
About 28 km southeast of Toyapakeh harbour or 1 hour and 10 minutes.
HOW TO GET TO THE LOCATION?
There is no public transport to get there. But, here the way to reach the Nusa Penida.
*) For backpacker i recommend you to rent a scooter to reach this beach and use
google maps as your navigator. Otherwise, for comfort and safety reason you can take a tour by a car since the road so small and broken.
**) Scooter rental fee in Nusa Penida island around IDR 70K-75K per day. If you rent for 3 days you may get cheap price.
***) The gas station in the northern of Nusa Penida only, there is no gas station in the southern. Also it will closed on 7 PM.
****) Google maps navigated me to the spot that i don’t like, not good view point. I was looking the spot with nice view. But, google maps can not help me because the road on the map not updated. So, i asked to the local people.

THE STAIRS TO ATUH BEACH
*) You need energy extra to reach this beach. Climb down hundreds of stairs. Then your exercise will be paid.
MOBILE PHONE SIGNAL:
Poor signal for your smartphone.
*) Use Telkomsel SIM card for relative better service compare to other telecom operator.
Some restroom and toilet. Better bring your own tissue.
Some simple shops and simple ‘warung’ restaurant.
A few hotel nearby the beach. But, the price will be expensive for backpacker. These stay/hotel suitable for you who want to chill and relax.
*) I recommend you stay in the northern of Nusa Penida. You better search using Airbnb because so many choice of stay compare if you use Agoda or Booking.
FREE LOCAL FRUIT
*) If lucky you will found this local fruit around the beach. The taste is sour and sweet, so refreshing. Take the purple one, it’s ripe.
No ATM nearby the beach.
*) A few ATM on the northern of Nusa Penida. ATM BPD and ATM BRI.
**) ATM BPD doesn’t accept international credit card. Only ATM BRI accept international credit card (Mastercard). One ATM BRI at Sampalan, Nusa Penida and one ATM near Toyapakeh harbour, Nusa Penida.
***) BPD Bank available as money changer.
GAS STATION (POM BENSIN):
No Gas Station nearby the beach.
*) A few Gas Station on the northern of Nusa Penida. They will closed on 7 PM.
**) One Gas Station on Toyapakeh, one Gas Station on Ped and one Gas Station on Batununggul.
