SPOT FOR SUNRISE
This beach is the one of the best beach to catching the sunrise.

CALM BEACH
Unlike Kuta beach, Sanur beach offering calm wave.
You can also relax, sunbathe, walking along the beach and enjoy the view.

LOCATION OF THE OLDEST INSCRIPTION IN BALI
If you love history, maybe you can visit the Blanjong temple
It’s balinese oldest inscription of King Kasari Varmadeva (913).

FREE YOGA CLASS
The prefect place to do Yoga with nice view.
Join the Yoga class with the local people.

DESCRIPTION:

This beach introduced first time by a Belgian painter named A.J. Le Mayeur de Merpes on 1932. At that time he met a girl named Nyi Nyoman Polok. Then they establish a relationship and later they were married. He transformed his house into a museum, Museum Le Mayeur, where about 80 of his masterpiece paintings are exhibited. Bali Orchid Garden, a park located about 3 km north of Sanur is worth a visit as well. In 1958 Adrean Jean Mayeur de Merpes died and in 1985 Nyi Nyoman Polok also died. In 1963, Mr Soekarno president built Bali Beach Hotel in Sanur and boosted tourism in Sanur. It was a pioneer tourism spot in Bali.

LOCATION:
Village (Desa): Sanur
Sub-district (Kecamatan): South Denpasar
City (Kotamadya): Denpasar
Province (Provinsi): Bali

DISTANCE:
About 8.5 km east of Denpasar or 22 minutes.
About 22 km south of Ubud or 45 minutes.
About 18 km northeast of Kuta or 40 minutes.
About 19 km northeast of Ngurah Rai airport or 45 minutes.

HOW TO GET TO THE LOCATION?

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
There is cheap public transport to get there. Trans SARBAGITA Bus. Ticket only IDR 3,500. First, you must go to halte bus/bus stop of Trans SARBAGITA. Then, you must reach to Sanur 2 halte (halte pantai Sindu), and then take a walk to the beach. Ask to the operator if you still confused. Operator will glad to give information. 🙂

From DENPASAR :
please to reach  ‘Pesanggaran’ or ‘Pedungan’ Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte.
Then, take Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop in the Sanur 2 Shelter/Halte (Pantai Sindu halte).
Then,  take a walk to reach the beach.

From UBUD :
please to reach Batubulan Bus Station – Then, find Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte,
please take Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop in the Sanur 2 Shelter/Halte (Pantai Sindu halte).
Then,  take a walk to reach the beach.

From KUTA :
please to reach Kuta Central Parking – Then, find Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte.
please take Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop in the Sanur 2 Shelter/Halte (Pantai Sindu halte).
Then,  take a walk to reach the beach.

From Ngurah Rai Airport :
please to reach ‘Patasari’ Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte,
or reach ‘Kelan’ Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte.
Then, take Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop in the Sanur 2 Shelter/Halte (Pantai Sindu halte).
Then,  take a walk to reach the beach.

*) There is no direct public transport to get there. If you use public transport, you will waste your time because the feeder bus not really sure when it will arrive.

**) For backpacker i recommend you to rent a scooter to reach this temple and use google map as your navigator.

***) If you prefer quiet beach, don’t access via Hang Tuah street. It will be crowded by local. Better you access the beach via Segara Ayu street or Pantai Sindu street or Pantai Karang street.

*) If you have young children, this beach suitable for family activities because the wave so calm. It won’t attract you to the middle of the ocean.

HOW MUCH IS THE ENTRANCE FEE?

ENTRY TICKET:
Free

BICYCLE RENTAL:
IDR 10K per hour.

PARKING FEE:
IDR 2K per scooter.
IDR 5K per car.

Sunbathing place & restaurant:

*) You can chill out here, sunbathing, drink beer or you can try the balinese massage.

**) Be careful when you put your bags while you sunbathing. Some dogs may pee on your stuff or bags.

CAFE/RESTAURANT:
There are many cafe, restaurant & bar.

*) There are so many shops, cafe & restaurant around the beach. But, i prefer try local food. Warung Mak Beng, they serving fried fish and fish soup. Otherwise, you can try breakfast at Warung Nasi Bali Men Weti. But, this place so busy, long queue. It makes you curious and want to try how tasty it is.

*) Free Yoga class everyday. Start on 7.30 am – 8.30 am. There is no sign or direction to Yoga class location. You can access via Jl Pantai Karang street.

**) No Yoga class on the hindus holy day such as Galungan day, Kuningan day, etc.
