WHY BACKPACKER SHOULD VISIT THIS WATERFALL?
You visiting exotic place with nice view. Quiet and peaceful.
You can see the nice hills, forest, farm field, landscape with fresh air.
It’s near from Ubud.
It will take half hour only.
The entry ticket is very cheap.
Only IDR 10K (Rp10.000) per pax.
NEAR OTHER DESTINATION
It’s near to other destination such as Sukawati art market, Elephant cave, Yeh Pulu.
You can combine to visit those places.
Tegenungan waterfall is another attraction near Ubud. It just take 20 minutes or 10 km from Ubud by car or scooter. It’s favorite place for tourist/traveler who stay in Ubud. Usually they will go for swimming and relax. The waterfall situated in the green valley and surrounded by dense trees. It has 15 meter height and has strong current especially on the wet season. The water volume supplied by the Petanu river.
*) You need to walk down the stairs to reach the Tegenungan waterfall.

8.00 AM – 5.00 PM.

April – October.
HOW MUCH THE ENTRANCE FEE?
‘TEGENUNGAN WATERFAL’ ENTRANCE FEE:
10K per pax —> IDR 15K per person per October 2017.
IDR 5K for children under 5 years.
*) Update price: IDR 15K per pax per October 2017.
**) They will charge IDR 10K if you want to go to the top of the waterfall. It managed by different sub village actually.

*) I’m not focus on the ticket price. But, i amazed how they write the statement: “if you want enjoy please you ask impormation in office ticket”….it’s typo hahaha. 🙂
WHERE IS IT?
Village (Desa): Tegenungan, Kemenuh.
Sub-district (Kecamatan): Sukawati
Regency (Kabupaten): Gianyar
Province (Provinsi): Bali
About 18 km northeast of Denpasar or 45 minutes.
About 10 km southeast of Ubud or 20 minutes.
About 28 km northeast of Kuta beach or 2 hours and 15 minutes.
About 30 km northeast of Ngurah Rai airport or 2 hours and 15 minutes.
HOW TO GET TO THE LOCATION?
There is no direct public transport to get there.
*) For backpacker i recommend you to rent a scooter to reach this waterfall and use google maps as your navigator.
*) After heavy rain sometime the river has strong current or even flood. So, the visitor forbidden to swim.
**) Some spots are forbidden too because it’s dangerous place like near the deep cliff or slippery spot or strong current. It signed by red flag. Visitor should avoid the red flag area.
MOBILE PHONE SIGNAL:
Strong signal for your smartphone.
Some restroom and bathroom. Better bring your pocket tissue.
Some shop selling snacks and souvenirs. Also some restaurant around the area.
STAIRS TO THE TOP OF THE WATERFALL
*) You can reach the top of the waterfall through some stairs. But, before you can use the stairs you need to pay IDR 10K. The top of the waterfall managed by different sub village actually. So, you need to pay it once more.
*) On the top of the waterfall you will found the view above. Some stones put and arranged vertically.
*) After the raining the water color turn into brown. The summer or the dry season is the best time to get clear water view as long no rain on the day before.
