WATER DROPS

bali-backpacker_Gunung_Kawi_Tampaksiring_temple_pura_gunung_kawi_tampaksiring_9

*) Since the temples made from limestone, it will easy broken/damaged by dripping or flow water. I think government archaeological & conservation board should concern about this issue. Sterilize the upside area from the water maybe is a wise step. Otherwise, this heritage will be damaged.

**) I love Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring temple because it’s not so touristic place (relative not much visitor). The atmosphere also still natural and awesome. Even you can enjoy the rice terrace view and the jungle before you enjoy the carved limestone wall.

Looks like you are walking in the forest more than in temple. Even if it’s raining it’s nice. Long stare can make you sweating but it worth seeing. Would be better if local authorities arrange a tour guide option or information stands next to every sightseeing

Hi, May I know how long we usually need to spend here? Is 1 hour generally sufficient? Closing time is 5pm or 6pm ya?Thank you. =)

      Hi,

      Sorry for the late reply.
I think you can spend around 1-1.5 hours here.
It just a small area actually.
But, the stairs makes you spend a lot of time than you explore the heritage area.
      Especially on the way back.
      A little bit exhausting.

For closing time of Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring temple i think is 5 PM.
My last visit there around 5.30 PM and i found the ticket window already closed.
But, when i walked to the stairs some local people charge us money.
Somehow they also gave us official entry ticket.
