This beach located in the back of the hills.
You need to climb down the hill first.

White sand, blue sea water & the black rock.

QUIET BEACH
Unlike touristic beach, this beach is less visitor.
So quiet, you can enjoy and relax here.

WHAT IS BIAS TUGEL BEACH?

DESCRIPTION:

Bias Tugel beach is popular also as secret beach located in the near of Padang Bai sea port, in the back of the hills exactly. Bias Tugel beach has little visitor on working days. It become a reason for some tourist to stay, chill and relax on this beach.

*) I found no place to parking my car here. So, i just put it in the street.

April  – October.

*) July to September are the most ideal months to visit this beach since it is little rain and sometime no rain et all.

LOCATION:
Village (Desa): Padang Bai
Sub-district (Kecamatan): Manggis
Regency (Kabupaten): Karang Asem
Province (Provinsi): Bali

DISTANCE:
About 42 km northeast of Denpasar or 1 hour from Denpasar.
About 37 km east of Ubud or 1 hour from Ubud.
About 55 km northeast of Kuta beach or 1 hour and 30 minutes from Kuta.
About 57 km northeast of Ngurah Rai airport or 1 hour and 30 minutes from the airport.

HOW TO GET TO BIAS TUGEL BEACH?

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
There is no direct public transport to get there. You have to take multiple public transport to reach this place.

From UBUD :
Please take Mini/Micro Bus (Bemo) at Ubud – Then, stop at Batubulan Mini/Micro Bus Station.
Then take Mini/Micro Bus (Bemo) to Padang Bai at Batubulan – Then, stop at Padang Bai seaport.

  • Fee: IDR 20K + IDR 30K.
  • Timetable: No.

From KUTA :
Please to reach Kuta Central Parking first – Then, find Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte.
Then take a Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop at Batubulan Mini/Micro Bus Station.
Then take Mini/Micro Bus (Bemo) to Padang Bai at Batubulan – Then, stop at Padang Bai seaport.

  • Fee: IDR 3,500 + IDR 30K.
  • Timetable: No.

From Ngurah Rai Airport :
Please to reach Ngurah Rai International Gate first – Then, find Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte.
Then take a Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop at Batubulan Mini/Micro Bus Station.
Then take Mini/Micro Bus (Bemo) to Padang Bai at Batubulan – Then, stop at Padang Bai seaport.

  • Fee: IDR 3,500 + IDR 30K.
  • Trans Sarbagita Timetable: 10.45 AM, 12.45 PM, 2.45 PM, 4.45 PM, 6.45 PM and 8.45 PM.

From North DENPASAR:
Please take a Bemo/Angkot at Ubung – Stop at Batubulan Mini/Micro Bus Station.
Then take Mini/Micro Bus (Bemo) to Padang Bai at Batubulan – Then, stop at Padang Bai seaport.

  • Fee: IDR 15K + IDR 30K.
  • Timetable: No.

From South DENPASAR:
Please to reach Kuta Central Parking first – Then, find Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte.
Then take a Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop at Batubulan Mini/Micro Bus Station.

– Trans Sarbagita Bus Stop/Shelter/Halte.
– Batubulan Micro/Mini Bus Station.
– Ubung Micro/Mini Bus Station.

*) It’s really not efficient trip using public transport in Bali. Waste your time, energy and money. There is no fixed price in Bali transportation system, except Trans Sarbagita. If the passenger full loaded you will get the price above, but if quiet (little) passenger you will pay more expensive. Seems they applied operational cost basis since the public transport not so popular today (quiet).

**) For backpacker i recommend you to rent a scooter to reach this place and use google map as your navigator.

*) You have to hike the hill & jungle to reach the beach.

*) Use Telkomsel SIM card for relative better service compare to other telecom operator.

RESTROOM/TOILET NEARBY:
Restroom and toilet on Warung. Better bring your own pocket tissue.

Some simple shops and simple ‘warung’ restaurant.

*) From this beach you can see the Ferry boat crossing the strait.

*) This beach relative quiet on the weekday. The white sand and the blue water seems the perfect place for relax (sunbathing).

    Not really hidden but nice beach. Don’t expect to be alone there,lot’s of people cause of sea port is just next to the place. But it’s long, clean enough and water is clear. Easy to find homestay next to the beach

      Maybe in the past it’s a hidden beach.
      I remembered that i have to pass a little jungle before reach the Bias Tugel beach.
      Yes, the water is clear enough.
