Ohhhhh….. I can sing an ode to the T-rex beach all the time!! It’s incredible place, the best beach I have ever seen in my life. Can’t be compared with even famous Thai, Malaysian or Sri-Lanka beaches (as for me). You can hike, climb there, meet a huge manta fish, enjoy magnificent view from the top to T-rex head which is beautiful nature’s play. But garbage again… It’s full day destination, save your time for that place. And don’t be afraid of steep tiny path down, it’s not so difficult as can seemed to you

Wow…is it true that T-rex beach better than famous Thai, Malaysia or Sri Lanka beaches?
For me T-Rex or Kelingking beach is the best beach in Bali beside Atuh beach.
Even i don’t feel like in Bali island,
the atmosphere, quietness, turtles and the Manta like in the fairy tales.
Except the garbage, it remind me it’s in Indonesia.
      I’m sorry about this issue.
Today Indonesia truly in the dark ages era.
I hope in the future we will have better education & civilization.

    Hi @kunzbali,

Thanks for sharing this article & lovely blog online.

I was wondering if you could recommend if this beach is clean (free of jetsam) in December?

And also do you have any other recommendations for stunning (white sand) & clean beaches in December when I am in Bali?

    Thank you

      Hi Mon,

Well, on the monsoon season / west wind season (November – February),
It’s common if all the beaches in Bali will be full of trash or garbage.
It applied also for Kelingking beach (T-Rex head beach).
All the floating trash or garbage from west side island of Bali island will be landed in Bali island.
As you know Indonesia is in the dark ages era.
No effective & efficient waste treatment,
      ineffective education,
and how bad of Indonesian people treat the waste become bad habits and worse culture.

I recommend you to visit Nusa Dua beach.
It will be more clean than other beaches.
Actually almost every popular beach in Bali will be cleaned up everyday.
But, since the waste come in big quantity everyday,
      It will still looks dirty.
      Except, the Nusa Dua beach.
It located in the exclusive area.
It surrounded by international (world class) hotel nearby.
They clean the waste very intensive.
So, it will looks more clean than other beach in Bali on December.

Also i recommend you to visit the beaches that located in the east side of the Bali island.
Since the west wind season (Monsoon) flow from west to the east,
the beaches in the east side of the Bali island will be avoid from the waste.
It will be relative more clean than other beaches.
Here the beaches that located in the east side of the Bali island:
Atuh beach (Nusa Penida), Amed beach, Tulamben beach, Sanur beach & Nusa Dua beach.
