Kuta beach is legendary but it was SUPER dirty when I visited with huge piles of rubbish and lots of plastic and junk in the sea. It was rainy season but still, for a major tourist destination like Kuta beach to be so filthy is appalling. It was quite surreal to see all the Happy tourists sitting amongst piles of trash taking selfies. On the Sunday I was there was a sponsored municipal program to clean up the beach but it really should be done daily, for health and hygiene reasons. Still didn’t detract from the spectacular crashing waves.

Well, it always happened in the west wind season actually.
As you know the mentality of Bali government so poor.
      They weren’t cleaned up everyday.
The cleaning department are lazy people.
Also the local people, village, hotel/restaurant community were passive people.
If this bad habits stand for long time, it sure will deface Bali tourism.
