WHAT IS KUSAMBA HARBOUR?

DESCRIPTION:

Kusamba harbour is a port positioned in Kusamba village, Dawan district, Klungkung regency, Bali, Indonesia. Kusamba port located on two sub-village (Banjar). They are Banjar Bias and Tribuana.

*) It located on two sub-villages. That’s why Kusamba harbour also popular as Banjar Bias harbour and Tribuana harbour.

HOW MUCH IS KUSAMBA HARBOUR ENTRANCE FEE?

ENTRANCE FEE:
Car: IDR 5K.
Scooter: IDR 2K.

*) This money used by sub-village community to build and renovate the road to harbour. That’s why it charge for vehicle, not per person.

About 33 km northeast of Denpasar or 50 minutes.
About 29 km southeast of Ubud or 55 minutes.
About 48 km northeast of Kuta or 1 hour 30 minutes.
About 48 km northeast of Ngurah Rai airport or 1 hour 15 minutes.

*) There are some spots for Fast/Speed boat port that spread around the harbour in Kusamba village. But, the fast/speed boat company has stand (booth) near the beach. These stand (booth) use for booking or check-in before departing to the Fast/Speed boat. Here they are:

*) The distance between fast/speed boat docks is not far away. It’s walking distance.

HOW TO GET TO KUSAMBA PORT/HARBOUR?

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
There is cheap public transport to get there. Trans SARBAGITA Bus. Ticket only IDR 3,500. First, you must go to halte bus/bus stop of Trans SARBAGITA. Then, you must reach to Batubulan bus station, and then take a Minibus/Microbus to Karangasem regency and stop at Pertigaan Pelabuhan Kusamba and then take a walk to the place. Ask to the operator if you still confused. Operator will glad to give information. 🙂

From DENPASAR :
please to reach  ‘Pesanggaran’ or ‘Pedungan’ Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte.
Then, take Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop in the Batubulan bus station.
Then, take a Minibus/Microbus to Karangasem – Stop at Pertigaan Pelabuhan Kusamba.
Then, take a walk to reach the port/harbor/pier.

  • Fee: IDR 3,500 + IDR 30K.
  • Timetable: No.

Other option: 
Please to reach Ubung Mini/Micro Bus Station first.
Then, take a Bemo (Angkot) at Ubung  – Stop at Batubulan Mini/Micro Bus Station.
Then, take a Minibus/Microbus to Karangasem – Stop at Pertigaan Pelabuhan Kusamba.
Then, take a walk to reach this port/harbour/pier.

  • Fee: IDR 15K + IDR 30K.
  • Timetable: No.

From UBUD :
Please take a Mini/Micro Bus (Bemo) at Ubud – Then, stop at Batubulan Mini/Micro Bus Station.
Then, please take a Minibus/Microbus to Karangasem – Stop at Pertigaan Pelabuhan Kusamba.
Then, take a walk to reach the port/harbor/pier.

  • Fee: IDR 20K + IDR 3,500 + IDR 30K.
  • Timetable: No.

From KUTA :
please to reach Kuta Central Parking – Then, find Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte.
please take Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop in Batubulan bus station.
Then, please take a Minibus/Microbus to Karangasem – Stop at Pertigaan Pelabuhan Kusamba.
Then, take a walk to reach the port/harbour/pier.

  • Fee: IDR 3,500 + IDR 30K.
  • Timetable: No.

From Ngurah Rai Airport :
Please to reach Ngurah Rai International Domestic Gate first – Then, find Trans SARBAGITA Bus Shelter/Halte.
Then, take a Trans  SARBAGITA Bus Corridor 2 – Stop in Batubulan bus station.
Then, please take a Minibus/Microbus to Karangasem – Stop at Pertigaan Pelabuhan Kusamba.
Then, take a walk to reach the port/harbor/pier.

  • Fee: IDR 3,500 + IDR 30K.
  • Trans Sarbagita Timetable: 10.45 AM, 12.45 PM, 2.45 PM, 4.45 PM, 6.45 PM and 8.45 PM.

*) It’s really not efficient trip using public transport in Bali. Waste your time, energy and money. There is no fixed price in Bali transportation system, except Trans Sarbagita bus. If the passenger full loaded you will get the price listed above, but if quiet (little) passenger you will pay more expensive. Seems they applied operational cost basis since the public transport not so popular today (quiet).

**) I suggest you to rent scooter and drive to here. They have wide parking area. Even enough space for car parking. The scooter parking fee is IDR 5K per day.

The price vary depend on the Fast/Speed boat company. Here the details:

1. Sekar Jaya (Kusamba – Lembongan*):

ONE WAY:  Adult: IDR 150K, Child: IDR 125K.
TWO WAY (RETURN):  Adult: IDR 300K, Child: IDR 250K.

*) Sekar Jaya dock at Lembongan located at Jungut Batu.

**) Child: 3-5 years old.

2. Maruti (Kusamba – Lembongan/Ceningan*):

ONE WAY:  Adult: IDR 250K, Child: IDR 200K.
TWO WAY (RETURN):  Adult: IDR 500K, Child: IDR 400K.

*) Maruti boat from Kusamba to Lembongan not exist anymore.

****) Toyapakeh (Banjar Nyuh) is a Fast/Speed boat harbour in Nusa Penida.

*) This floating dock really helpful. Unlike in Sanur, the passenger here won’t get wet.

HOW IS THE FLOW PROCESS TO USE FAST/SPEED BOAT SERVICE IN TRIBUANA KUSAMBA HARBOUR?

1. Booking via online.

You can click the link above in the boat company (operator) you prefer. Then continue booking & finish the transaction.

*) Some boat operator (company) do not have online payment system, you have to pay when you arrive in Kusamba harbour/port.

2. Check-in at Kusamba Harbour.

You need arrive at Kusamba port 30-60 minutes before departure time for check in. After arrive Kusamba port/harbour/pier you need to find their stand (booth). Then register your name and finish the payment if you haven’t finish it. And then they will give you a ticket as their passenger.

3. Walking to the boat.

The boat operator leader will ask you to walk to the boat on 10-15 minutes before departure time.

There are some simple cafe ‘warung’ around Kusamba harbour.

*) I suggest you to try local street food such as Tipat Cantok.

Some restroom and toilet.

*) Better you bring your own pocket tissue.

GOOD TIPS WHEN IN THE FAST BOAT TRIP:

1. Windproof jacket.

Bringing wind visor jacket might be a wise choice. It will be a windy trip because the boat quiet fast. Other option you can use a scarf.

2. Sun glasses.

Sometime it will be sunny day on the boat. Also water splash sometime come to passenger position. It depend on the wind direction actually. In this case i recommend you to bring your glasses. A Sunglasses even better.

3. Seat Position.

If you can not tolerate to be shaken, better you choose seat position in the back side. Front side more stronger than back side. This straits facing Indonesia ocean. So, the waves sometime higher and strong. Mid day and late afternoon trip usually more shaken up than morning.

*) Kusamba harbour is a seaport for local and relative near to Nusa Penida and Lembongan. That’s why the fast/speed boat cost cheaper than other place. I suggest you to drive scooter to here, parking your bike and take a Fast/Speed boat from here.
